Outline

This workshop will cover the transferring of photographs from a digital camera to a computer and managing them using the Windows file management program Windows Explorer. If requested and time permits, we will have a look at Picasa. Photo-editing will not be covered

Background

This is a file management exercise. A little knowledge of general file management is a great help.

Topics Covered Include

• Connection of camera to USB port on computer
• Copying picture files from camera to computer
• Deleting picture files from the camera.

Skills Required

Participants should have completed File Management Level 1 & 2

Hardware Required

A digital camera and a Windows computer equipped with USB ports.

Software Required

No special software is required

Notes

Students should bring their digital camera (fully charged) and its USB cable to connect to a computer.
