Outline

This course is intended to give the student an understanding of the basic skills required to create, edit, save and print spreadsheets using the MS Excel program which is in wide use in the commercial sector.

Background

Spreadsheets are mostly used for working financial data and making lists. Data is entered into the "cells" and using formulae it is possible to quickly sum, multiply, subtract, divide or apply a host of other functions to it. If new data is entered, or data is removed or altered, the spreadsheet automatically updates the results in the blinking of an eye.
